LaShara Lashawn

I was recently telling a friend how I feel like Iv started a new chapter in my life!! This chapter is about how I have taken charge over my life and I’m making all of the decisions. I’m in charge!! If you have seen the movie Hustle and Flow you will feel me when I say “Im in charge!”

For so long everything I did had to be justified as I didn’t have a lot of support and due to the lack of support over the years Iv lacked confidence in making my own decisions and feeling valued & heard. It became more about appeasement of others than doing what I wanted because it makes me happy. I felt like I had to always have the answers and a plan.

Sometimes I really didn’t have a clue what was about to happen. I didn’t trust my voice would be heard so sometimes I’d be completely drowning and wouldn’t say a word. You could probably imagine the amount of stress and frustration Iv felt. So this time moving forward I don’t know what’s ahead or what my next move is exactly but I know I’ll make the decision regardless of what anyone thinks.

Im doing whatever it is because I want to and one of my main objectives is to move forward. I don’t want to be like the dog returning to its own vomit. Nasty work isn’t it??! Iv been there but it’s what happens when you aren’t confident in your choices.

So for my future I’m moving forward and making all the choices. I know great things are ahead and for that freedom I’m very excited.
