Shrimp Gnoochi Dinner

For two months I didn’t eat meat and I really enjoyed it. People would ask me how I felt  and I thought that was a strange question. I mean it’s just meat, I feel the same. I haven’t died or passed out, I learned other ways to make sure I was getting my protein. So going into month 3 I realized that I missed seafood so I have been easing back into eating seafood. As I was grocery shopping on Instacart I discovered the recipes section while on the Sprouts page.

I have been attempting to learn and try new recipes to cook and broaden my skills in the kitchen. This recipe is amazing, very easy to make and taste amazing. Since making this meal I have been thinking of ways to make it better by possibly paring it with a sparkling wine, garlic bread, salad or using pasta noodles instead of the gnoochi. Gnoochi is very new to me outside of this recipe I had never heard of this food, and it was the main reason I chose this recipe. Iv learned that Gnocchi are a varied family of dumpling in Italian cuisine. They are made of small lumps of dough composed of semolina, wheat flour, egg, cheese, potato, breadcrumbs, cornmeal or similar ingredients.

Iv always been open to trying new things and experimenting so once I read the ingredients list I couldn’t pass it up. Not to mention that the app would automatically put everything I needed for the recipe in my cart. How convenient!! I didn’t have to search and look around the app to find the necessary items, shout out to Instacart. This was very quick and easy to prepare just as the instructions stated. I am familiar with making asparagus so I knew how I like them to taste but when it came time to make the gnoochi I had to really follow the instructions to make sure I didn’t under cook them.

I would give this recipe 5 stars because it was quick, easy to follow, very filling, and the taste was bomb. Oh I always cut the tails off my shrimp and de vein them! it’s better that way if you ask me. Lastly after making my meal I didn’t feel cheated, my version was very close to the photos on the site before hitting it hard with cheese. Which is okay, I love to make things my own. I’m a creative.
