I am sure that many people probably pass up and simply ignore the adds that are on Instagram. Typically I do, sometimes I will watch the videos or look around but I never subscribe to anything. There has been an add prompting people of color to meet up called BLK (black) and I figure I’m black, single, I think I am ready to date a little bit why not. The last app I used was tinder  back in 2013 and that was okay. The app drained my battery and I didn’t see anyone I liked so I deleted it.

After downloading this app I suddenly thought it was a bad idea. It all looks like tinder, it even has the same aspect where you swipe left for pass and right if your interested. You can only message the person if you are a match. I felt like I had been swiping for a long time before I even found someone that I thought was attractive and possibly my type. Who knew that could be so tough.

Reasons to pass on a brotha:

Flipping off the camera (childish)

Smoking or blowing smoke in the picture (you are probably always high and may choose smoke breaks over me, high chance your an addict and bad with money)

Topless (might be too into himself, possibly gay and why would you be topless on a dating site)

Looks much older ( want someone close to my age range)

Poking out lips in pictures (gay flag)

Shoes (Where they ran over before the photo was taken?)

Not smiling ( you need to show your teeth)

That is just a few things that make me pass and lately I have been doing a lot of passing. I thought that geting this app that is for people of color it would be a brezzy apposed to Tinder where at the time everyone was white or Asian. Yes, there are black people on there but I’m having a tough time finding my type (its some rough ones on there).  There is an option where you can pay a monthly rate to be able to see who really likes you and to be able to go back and look at people you swiped pass and even have your profile boosted so that it is seen first as well as more often. I am sue that would certainly help my chances of finding someone I like.

I am not at the point of paying yet, I think if I pay for this then I should just go and pay for me EHarmony account. I have liked a few people but then they don’t have anything to really talk about or sometimes it’s me. I don’t have nothing. It’s like I draw a blank. We shall see how this goes.  Wish my luck.
